Villa Claudio is located less than a mile from Offida and is within easy walking distance of its charming old town, home to various restuarants, shops and bars.Offida is a famous centre of lace making and in the summer months to this day the ladies of the town can be seen working assiduously with bobbins in hand, often at great speed, sat in shop doorways and even on their doorsteps throughout the historic centre, creating beautiful embroideries. An easy 15 minute drive away is the pretty seaside resort of Grottammare, which in summer months is a popular destination for Italian beach-lovers.The property itself is also just a couple of minutes walk away from a highly rated country restaurant with home a health and beauty centre within easy walking distance as well. The villa has two floors with all the bedrooms upstairs - two doubles one with an extra single bed, a twin which can become a third double, and a single room. A cot is also provided so that the villa can comfortably sleep eight guests. The double beds can be separated to become two single beds on request. There is a bathroom with shower upstairs and a second toilet on the ground floor.Downstairs the simple but stylish kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, fridge and freezer and washing machine. There is also an oven and four gas hobs. A large pantry adjoins.Outside a mature garden with olives fruit trees, lawns and flowerbeds and outdoor seating boasts lovely views down to the coast and up to the Sibillini mountains. The area is perfect for mountain biking, and walking, trekking and horse riding are all available in the vicinity. The garden is fenced making it safe for children and guests are welcome to pick the fruit, which includes grapes, apricots, apples and peaches. The owners are happy to take guests into the old town of Offida to take advantage of the restored wine cellars there which offer wine tasting events to satisfy the conneiseur and beginner alike.
Thursday is market day in Offida and is a great time to see the town at its busy best. The town retains its ancient charm, not least thanks to some highly unique architecture around the unusal triangular central piazza and a strategically positioned church rich in ancient mosaics and made famous after the retreating German army failed conspicuously to blow it up, ensuring pride of place in local folklore.
This villa is ideally located to enjoy all the Adriatic Coast has to offer but no trip to this area of Italy would be complete without at least a day trip into the spellbindingly beautiful Sibillini Mountains. Just under an hour away in the car, this is a land of legend and immense beauty.

Loved the property! Owners so helpful and welcoming, half hour walk to town very manageable although hilly. Felt like we had lived there for ages - house not like holiday home but old family home (which it is) and loved eating outside of an evening enjoying spaghetti carbonara or some such. Pool really relaxing and views amazing. Short drive to coast and lovely seafood restaurants. Only two downsides 1. Having to leave! 2. Shower not good. Concertina doors too flimsy and generally not good experience. If it were my property I would upgrade the bathroom facilities and probably make the single room a spacious bathroom. Or re configure downstairs to incorporate a shower into the existing toilet/utility area. Needs thinking out of the box but shower facilities need to be addressed. Two couples would not be comfortable with the current set up. However we liked it for two only but still would have liked a better shower! Apart from that we loved it. Have never been in such a well equipped house before- we could have had 20 for dinner and never run out of plates! All in all brilliant house! Just need to rethink bathroom. Of course when that’s done we may not be able to afford it for only occupancy of two! Elizabeth Laing, UK

We stayed at this property in 2017 and it was great for the kids. Great pool in the fenced garden, only a short walk into the town of Offida and the amazing restaurant in the square with the wine tasting menu. We really recommend this. Shady pergola at the house overlooking the pool where we could keep one eye on the kids, while sipping the local Pecorino wine!!! Also the region's enoteca is in Offida where you can taste more than 400 Marche wines, not all at once!! Damaris R. Holland
Easy walk in to Offida and close to the coast
A second family bathroom would be nice for two families sharing.
